Identification of the photo is taken from notations on the back, captions in a photo album, or from similar images in the same collection.1900's family photograph of the Jamison and Coffin families of Baltimore, Maryland. Most of the photos are of the Thomas Worth Jamison Sr. and Theresa Heinekin Jamison family. Their children were Ellen Mercer Jamison, Josephine Jamison Woodring, Nancy (Better known as Nannie and Nan) Jamison Coffin, and Thomas Worth Jamison Jr. Josephine Jamison married Geologist Wendell Phillips Woodring, and Nannie Jamison married Eugene (Gene) Coffin, son of John Auguste Coffin Sr. and Julia Sparr of Baltimore, Maryland.There are also photos of Eugene and Nannie's sons, Eugene Auguste Coffin Jr. and John Gordon Coffin. Nannie's husband Eugene joined the United States Revenue Cutter Service, which was the precursor to the Coast Guard, and eventually became a Rear Admiral. Photos are of Baltimore, the Eastern Shore, other parts of Maryland, and there are some photos of Eugene Coffin's early days in the Revenue Cutter Service School or Academy, and of his travels, while sailing around the world with the U.S.R.C.S.
