Victor David Brenner's design of the wheat cent features Abraham Lincoln on the coin's obverse and two stalks of wheat on the reverse. Lincoln wheat cents are a bronze allow composed of 95% copper and 5% tin and zinc. Wheat cents were preceded by Indian head cents and followed by Lincoln memorial cents.
