It shows cute young boys & girls sharing a classroom photo with Esther Hokamp (she's marked with a small "x"). This photo is identified in a contemporaneous hand on the verso. Mount measures 12 by 10 inches; image measures 8 3/4 by 6 1/2 inches. The 2nd cabinet photo in this lot shows a somewhat later confirmation class shared with Esther Hokamp (again, marked with a small "x") and her confirmation class-mate Walter Brackensiek (sp?) who later became a minister and who was then killed in an automobile wreck in Oklahoma. (He's on the front row and his diploma is marked with an 'x'). Presumably this was a church confirmation at the local Quincy Illinois Lutheran Church. Comparing how old Miss Hokamp looked in the 1907 photo to how old she looks here, I would say that THIS photo dates from about 1913-1914. Mount here also measures 12 by 10 inches but image here is VERY SLIGHTLY smaller, measuring 8 1/2 by 6 1/2 inches. A single purchase gets both photos as a lot of 2. The original 1907 photo of the school boys & girls is a tad dark but VERY GOOD; the somewhat later photo of a Confirmation Class is VERY GOOD PLUS __________________________________________________________________________ (the fine print ...
