Description: The necklace features two joined fancy link vintage to antique pocket watch chains with an antique, 1907, agriculture medal. The medal has an ornate raised image of a woman holding a rake and surrounded by farm implements. On the reverse are a man, a beehive, a horse and other animals with “Comice Agricole de Mons Concours 1907” which translates to Agriculture show of Mons, competition 1907. When I looked up Mons, I found “Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France”. The medal is 2 inches in diameter and hangs 3 inches below the chain. It can be worn on either side, it hangs from a swivel hook. There is no closure, it goes over the head. If one prefers, the watch hook on one side does open.
