Description: This is an original antique booklet on the 1905 dedication of the Joseph Smith Memorial Monument in Sharon, Vermont. The cover title reads: Proceedings At The Dedication Of The Joseph Smith Memorial Monument At Sharon, Windsor County, Vermont December 23rd, 1906 – With a detailed account of the journey and visits of the Centennial Memorial Party of Vermont and other places in the Eastern States; also a description of the Solomon Mach Farm and account of the purchase of same. This is a booklet format of 88 pages plus several photographic plates and could pages of frontmatter contained within the original softcover binding. The back cover has advertising for the Desert News Book Store in Salt Lake City. This moment was erected by the Mormon Church in 1905 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Joseph Smith at Smith’s birthplace in Vermont. This antique first edition is fully complete and intact with moderate handling wear and some toning from. There are a couple small chips to the cover material along the spine but the binding is well intact. A couple pages have small corner creases and there is a bit of light dust staining or foxing on the edges. Overall condition is very good. Email any questions. Thanks for looking.
