Description: By England's Aid Or The Freeing of the Netherlands (1585-1604) by G.A.Henty The Mershon Company Rahway NJ Intended for boys, the introduction starts with "My Dear Lads" Undated, around 1900. this edition may be 1904. Possibly a pirated edition. Orignnally published in 1890. Mr. Henty was a prolific English Novelist and war Correspondent. Apparently he was a unabashed Imperialist and racist and has gained some favor lately with Conservative home schoolers. So I hope no one is going to use this to teach actual history. Condition is fair, printed on cheap paper that has darkened and the binding is cracked at front cover. Inscribed on first page by owner. first page is torn at bottom of spine. Attractive embossed and colored design on front cover with some edge wear and bumping at corners. 388 pages plus ads for other books by the publisher. 5" x 7 1/2" Buyer pays cost of Media Mail.
