According to my research at the Pocket Watch Database, this watch dates to 1901 (serial no 1589414), is a size 16, and has 11 jewels. The serial number also identifies it as a Model 4, Grade 172. The case is a Hunter/Hunting style and is gold filled - it has a very nice design worked in to it! The watch appears to keep great time! I have been tracking it for the last week or so - i wind it every morning, and I have not noticed it running fast or slow. It also appears to be in nice condition overall - it is used and does have some obvious signs of wear, but nothing that is too distracting. I think the main issue is that I believe the crystal has been replaced - it feels & sounds like plastic - but please keep in mind I am no expert, so i am offering my best opinions. I did notice a couple "lumps" at the top of the back case cover (see pic), & matching dings on the inside of that cover. There is some verdigris or corrosion near the movement lever, and in that area around the glass. I also noticed some small letters and numbers scratched into the inside back case cover (see pic). Please see all the pics & judge condition for yourself! All in all a pretty nice example of an antique pocket watch!
