Tokutaro Maeda, founder of Kamigataya Publishing is said to have hired the Japanese photographer Takaji Hotta of the Adolfo Farsari Studio to make many of the images for these early views. Undivided back, not used postally, bright condition with light impressions at corners form album mounts, light rubbing to address side, dragonfly logo in stamp box. Measures 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches.
