Description: Very nice mixed group of 19 antique carved mother of pearl shell MOP sewing buttons. Most have some form of insertion inlay, either precision inlay or inset while others are possibly laminate type construction. There are several small sets and many singles. One component of shell on 2 of the buttons has been dyed or tinted a deep rich blue. My favorite of the group is the square button, the iridescent colors of the base are absolutely spectacular! - Buttons sizes range from 1/2 inch to just under 1-1/8 inch (13mm to 28mm) - Various styles of metal shanks, please see last 2 photos- Good condition as shown.
