Etching by BALTHASAR ANTON DUNKER (1746-1801) To the right, a woman playing a lute, a man singing from a music-book while another looks on. At bottom right, a dog enters the room. Signed - by Dunker in the plate, bottom left corner. Plate 12 from the monumental engraved collection of Choiseul's paintings, published in 1772 by Basan in Paris. Size: 17 x 14 centimetres (platemark area) CONDITION. Very good. The platemark is intact and visible, with good margins beyond. Printed on thick "laid" 18th century paper. Excellent tonality.
