Description: A nice 18th century French walnut buffet with rectangular molded edge top with front rounded corners, surmounting two fitted frieze drawers over two doors, which open to a single interior storage shelf. The piece features custom raised shaped panels on the front doors and rectangular raised panels on each side, and reeded corners over a shaped skirt, supported by French carved feet in the front and square back feet. The buffet is in good overall condition, with great surface patina, original decorative brass escutcheons, original hinges, and some interior restorations, minor shrinkage cracks, and wear commensurate with age and use. A slight warp to the top, and minor evidence of worm damage. A nice smaller size than most French buffets we have seen! Dimensions: 26.75 in H x 45 in W x 19.25 in D.
