Description: This is an Rare and interesting Running Two Tone Columbus 17J Rail Road Pocket Watch! The Online Data Base has it being utilized by the Railroad on the Burlington Route and serviced by Mr Raymond Gregg, General Examiner of Watches (CB&Q - The Burlington Route), in June 1890! Commonly referred to as the Burlington Route, the Burlington, CB&Q, or as the Q, it operated extensive trackage in the states of Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and also in Texas through subsidiaries Colorado and Southern Railway, Fort Worth and Denver Railway, and Burlington-Rock.The Dial has no hairlines but it does have tiny edge chips! This is a nice Two Tone movement! The hands are beautiful and Blue! the case has no brassing but is worn. This watch came from an auction so I do not have any service history on it! I recommend a Cleaning, Oiling and adjustment at your convience! This is a documented Rare Columbus 17J Pocket Watch that was used on Railroad Service in the 1890's and I don't believe you will run across one like this.
