Mission was to spread the royalties Catholic faith and find vast amount of treasure. He first landed on what is now the islands of the Caribbean and made several voyages after. This a beautiful antique Print/Illustration from a rare antiquarian book from 1899. This Print/illustration was taken from the Artist's Original work. It is in Nice Condition for its age; no tears or chips. There is some light darkening along the edges from age. It has been stored away for 100+ years never beening framed, so it has not been exposed to the suns damaging ultra violet rays. Some water damage to borders of portrait.
