Not listed ONLINE anywhere else. Ellen Way Allen was a very active member of the Boston Tea Party Chapter of the D.A.R. Daughters of the American Revolution according to several citations on the historic newspaper website online (see for example The Boston Globe, 17 December 1897 issue) The same site shows her to have had her poems published in newspapers and magazines all over the country from the period 1890-1900. Wonderful piece of Boston DAR memorabilia and a good example of small press publishing in 1890s Boston Massachusetts. VERY GOOD. Small scuff at upper right of front outside cover; very light soiling & wear . . . NOTE: the narrow, faint white streak you may see in the scans is ADDED by my sorry HP 4520 scanner - it is NOT on the booklet you'll receive _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ (the fine print ...
