This coin, beautifully designed by both Barber and Morgan, is the first commemorative coin issued by the U.S. Mint. It was minted to commemorate the 1892 Columbian Exposition, also know as the Chicago World's Fair. Most of the intricate detailing is still visible on this beautiful coin. The coin was produced with many different finishes, from frosty through highly toned.
