Description: Greetings! Old Saratoga Books is pleased to offer: Norske National-Dragter, 1891. Very Good. Boards worn at corners and head and foot of spine, gilding faded, some foxing to interior, illustrations of young girl and married woman have several small areas of loss in center, lower corners of several illustrations chipped. A leporello tourist souvenir featuring five color lithograph illustrations of Norwegian Folk Costumes after photographs by F. Beyer of Christiana (as Oslo, Norway was known from 1624-1924), taken in 1891. The illustrations are mounted on cardboard and fold out accordion-style from green cloth boards with elaborate black and gilt botanical design on front. The title of this leporello is in Danish, but the captions for each costumed figure are in English and German. The five costumes shown are for a married man, married woman, young girl, bride and bride and bridegroom together. Measures 17.5 x 11.5 cm. Illustrations fold out to a length of 50 cm.
