1890s SET OF 4 RS PRUSSIA RED MARK Chocolate Cups & Saucers DELICATE PINK ROSES

Description: Add a touch of elegance to your dining room with this rare set of 4 RS Prussia chocolate cups and saucers. The two-piece set is made of porcelain/bone china, with a glossy finish and delicate hand painted soft pink roses amongst hues of yellow, brown, & green background colors, accented in gold. These fine, delicate cups have a scalloped six footed bottom with the RED RS PRUSSIA mark underneath. The top also has a scalloped opening with a long, intricate handle, both accented in gold color. Three stunning pink roses are painted to the front of the cup, with one painted to the back of the cup. These stunning cups measure 3 1/4” to the highest point and have an opening diameter of 2 1/4”. The saucers also have a scalloped edge with one delicately painted soft pink rose to the top of the saucer and gold accents. The saucers measure 4 3/8” in diameter, and none of the saucers are stamped on the bottom. This gorgeous antique set comes from Prussia and was manufactured between 1880-1917. The delicate pink roses and soft painting strokes are perfect for a Victorian-style dining room. The gorgeous shape, (smaller at the bottom and widens to the top) as well as the scalloped footing and opening, are one of the rarer shapes made by Reinhold Schlegelmilch in the Victorian era. All cups and saucers are in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or hairlines. There is very minimal paint loss, and I noticed that there are several grayish lines on the front of each cup on the first rose…it appears on every cup, which makes me believe it’s supposed to be a shadow or something? Please look closely at the detailed pictures and decide for yourself. The saucers also have some pin sized dots on a few of them. I have taken very good close up photos and encourage you to look at them closely. My pictures are part of my description and used to show both quality and flaws in my items.
