Illustrated with a frontispiece, a folding map and 17 plates. Collated, complete. Scarce in the first edition, this is an account of the author's sporting trip to East Africa, travelling from Zanzibar to the borders of the Masai hunting. CONDITION Rebacked with publisher's original pictorial cloth laid down to the boards and spine. Externally smart, with a sprinkle of small marks to the front board, and shelf wear to the rear board. Gilt remains bright. Repairs to the hinges. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright but spotted throughout, with a tape repair to the rear end paper. Numerous tape repairs to the folding map, which, apart from a few small closed tears to the folds, is otherwise intact.
