CLEVELAND This gold tone Republican button features a central eagle and shield embossed on the front, with the words “republican” along the top and “club” along the bottom. It measures roughly .75 inches in diameter, and had a standard button back. This is an original period piece from the 1888 elections, and comes from a coastal Maine estate.
