Description: ANTIQUE 1887 STERLING SILVER POCKET WATCH ALBERT CHAIN . 1887 QUEEN VICTORIA MEDALLION. SILVERSMITH: HENRY POPE. WEIGHT: 37 GRAMS. This is a Sterling silver Albert Pocket watch chain hallmarked 1887. All pieces including the links are hallmarked with as a minimum the Lion Passant. Attached is an 1887 Queen Victoria medallion. Dimensions: Max. length including he medallion - 41.2 cm. (16.2 inch.). Weight: 37.7 grams. Marks: All links are stamped with the Lion Passant. The T-Bar and the Swivel Clasp are stamped with the Lion Passant, the Birmingham Date Letter ' n ' for the Year 1887 and the silversmith's mark ' H.P ' for Henry Pope. The Ring enclosing the medallion is stamped ' PATENT15223 ' and alongside ' HB '. The Medallion is stamped 1887, Condition: Excellent. Very little signs of wear. In one of the rectangles part of the 'spring like' centre is missing and one of the 'balls' on the rim of the medallion is also missing (See photos.). No signs of repair.
