Description: c1885 Silverplated CLOCHE / DOME COVER / MEAT DOME made by Elkington & Co, Birmingham UK - Well hallmarked. Engraved lion on the front and beautiful beaded border around the lip. Easily removable top handle comes off with a wingnut. This large cloche is in nice preowned condition with no plate loss and typical use wear and light surface scratches. There is a very small corrosion spot on bottom lip - see last 2 photos. We have made no attempt to clean this and it does have dark toning and will need a polish.
