1885 Original Signed In Pencil Etching, “A Seaside Residence" by Henry Farrer

Description: Here is a rare, antique, hand drawn, pencil etching titled “A Sea-Side Residence” by Henry Farrer (1844-1903). It is from a a scarce folio titled “Recent American Etchings” published in 1885 by New York, White Stokes & Allen. (The only other copy of the folio I have located, is at the National Gallery of Art, and not available for on-line display). This antique etching is an original, hand signed in pencil, loose etching, in a frame board, taken directly from this scarce folio. The etching is done on japan paper and the edition size is No. 19 of 60 published. The overall dimensions of the japan paper is approx: 18 x 13 in. with an image size of approx. 11.5” x 5.25” in.. This etching is in very good antique condition with some slight age coloring and as seen in the pics. It will make a wonderful addition to any American Impressionist/Post Impressionist art collection so don't let this one get away! Publisher: New York, White, Stokes, & Allen 1885.
