Description: This is a really pretty edition of Gray's Elegy; the condition is fair, with the pages having separated as a group from the binding and sections of the text attached to each other only by a few threads (please see photos). This book would be a good candidate for a relatively inexpensive professional repair--just getting everything reattached. Rear cover has some scrapes and wear; front illustrated cover is very attractive; paste-down illustration is torn in a few places (as shown); a bad scrape near the gilded decoration/title. The corners are badly bumped and worn. Some minor creasing and staining inside. Pages not numbered--but there are about 40. Heavily illustrated. A scarce edition.
