Description: 1882 Royal Crown Derby round tea / coffee duo, Imari pattern #495. Dimensions saucer 13.5 cm diameter, cup stands 6 cm tall. Gloriously presented in the hand painted Imari colour ways of cobalt, light blue and brown with lavish gilded highlights, plus some unusual green highlights. The bases bear the Crown Derby (pre Royal) back stamp, impressed Derby and date code, hand painted pattern number and painters marks. In excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or restoration that I can identify. Very handsome, displays beautifully and typical of this fabulous producer which alas is no longer in production. I have listed 5 identical sets separately. Ref #379 .
