Description: ANTIQUE GERMAN DAILY DEVOTIONAL PRAYER BOOK Wonderful antique miniature hardbound pocket prayer book measuring 3-3/4" wide by 4-1/2" tall unpaginated. Featuring embossed linen covered boards marked VERGISSMEINNICHT, page edges are gilded and book is written in German - I believe it translates to "forget-me-not". Book is filled with moving Christian devotionals and prayers, and then blank area for diary or birthday reminders. There is a verse for everyday of the year as book is sectioned by the month. Condition is good with point wear to the boards, light wear to the linen, a few pencil marks on the inner front blank pages and a notation or two within the book, light spotting and tanning. Binding is still strong although there is tearing and separation of the inner front blank page at the seam as shown from the book laying open and flat - none of this detracts. Just a beautiful little prayer book - lovely addition to any collection or religious texts.
