It is from the 1879 edition of Stieler's Hand Atlas, published in Gotha by Justus Perthes. The publisher and date are shown on the map in the bottom margin and the name of the atlas is in the upper right corner. The map is not mounted nor matted, being sold as a single sheet as seen in the first pic. The Stieler maps are some of the most detailed of the 19th century in the German tradition of cartography. Size: The map image measures approximately 13 by 16 inches on a 15 by 18 1/2" page as seen in the pic with a wide margin all around for framing as seen in the main pic. Condition: The map is in Good or better condition with overall tonal aging, basically as seen in the pics. Other than a slight darkening around the edges and at the bottom of the fold, it is very clean and would frame up nicely. It has stenciled hand coloring and hand outlining as issued, printed on heavy paper, blank on the reverse with a centerfold as issued. The pics are of the actual map.
