Description: Published only 12 years after the Seventh Day Adventist Church was officially founded, this softcover/ pamphlet from 1875 is an incredibly rare find and would make a phenomenal addition to any church or personal library. As you can see, there are a number of issues when it comes to condition, but the text is still easily readable and considering the age and the book's delicate construction, the overall condition isn't bad at all. The front and back covers have some wear and chipping, but the spine, held in place by what looks like two bolts or brads the way staples hold a report, is remarkably intact in terms of turning the pages. There's also a former owner's bookplate. The pages themselves are yellowed, but it's mostly on the edges. You'll also see a few little black spots in the margins and a few pen outlines denoting a section but not interfering with it. Also, page 15 had pencil marks that somebody did a fair job erasing, but it has left the ghost of those lines and notes and faded the type just a little. Overall, this is a very well-preserved piece of SDA history that I cannot imagine comes around very often. Please look over the pictures and let me know if you have any questions. Thanks so much for looking!
