Description: approx size of Carte de Visite 4.1" x 2.5"(ref A6037) This photo was within a family album containing a large number of named photos, allowing research to identify the majority of the sitters with confidence. Those identified are from the Lidgett & Hoole families. This is John Scott Lidgett born at Blackheath in 1854 to John Jacob Lidgett, a shipowner, and Maria Elizabeth Scott. John Scott Lidgett was a British Wesleyan Methodist Minister and educationist and achieved prominence both as a theo;ogian ans a reformer.
