Description: Another gorgeous EX Laura Sperber coin. One look and you will know why she bought it. Legend Numismatics LOVES this SUPERB GEM! We can find only ONE TINY hidden tick/planchet ding that is holding this coin back from a PR 67 RB designation. It does NOT stand out and you need a glass to see it. EVERYTHING else about the coin is positive. The mirrors are really strong and offer a bold reflection. The mirrors look like a sheet of sparkling glass. No question this coin is totally original. The obverse has faded Mint Rd and some light violet/brown colors. We think the obverse was laying on felt or a cloth at some point. The reverse is far more Mint red. Every detail is pinpoint sharp in strike and stands out, The eye appeal is fabulous! Only 600 total were minted. No one is sure how many Closed Dates there are. PCGS 34, NGC 39, CAC 20. PCGS has graded ONLY 2 coins in PR66+ RB with one NON CAC PCGS piece higher. The current Collectors Universe value is $17,500.00. The last one to sell via auction brought $12,925.00 08/2020. That's FOREVER ago. This coin is priced super right! Laura Sperber (builder of several of the greatest collections ever) did all the really hard work here for you. We assure you, this is a great coin from a great set! We won't even go into how its a obsolete series, etc.......
