Description: Stereoview photograph of tourists at Congress Park in Saratoga Springs, New York, by MacDonald & Sterry of Albany and Saratoga Springs, circa 1880s. The view, No. 108 from the series Saratoga Springs, Stereoscopic Scenery, and entitled (best guess—faint letters) A Concert in Congress Park, shows dozens of tourists seated in a small park with the cast iron fountain of the Fresh Water Spring at center. Most of the folks seem to be seated facing the group under the trees at left—likely a brass band. A couple of prams sit empty on the walkway. The stereoview is in good or better condition with light wear and soiling. Note the light rubbing at the corners of the card. The photographs exhibit good or better tonal range and show only good or better detail. A nice early Saratoga Springs NY stereoview!
