Description: This circa 1870's-1890's sepia albumen cabinet photo shows a railroad bridge that has just been constructed. The bridge spans over a gully. One man stands on top of the bridge. All of the trees & all of the brush has been cut down around the base of the newly constructed bridge. This cabinet photo measures 5 3/16 inches wide by 4 3/16 inches tall. Shown in the photo is the railroad bridge that leads to a mine (the mine is not shown in this photo). Refer to our other eBay listing to see the photo of miners at a mine loading ore cars. This photo of the railroad bridge was found many years ago in Colorado. But, we do not know where the photo was taken. There are no markings identifying the location or the photographer. Please note our other photo showing miners loading ore cars (listed separately on eBay in its own listing) which was originally found with this photo in Colorado. The photo has good contrasts. There is some age toning & some minor age soiling. There is a small stain at the bottom right corner. There is a stain along the back bottom edge of the matt. There is minor wear to the corners of the matt & there are a couple of minute nicks at the right border of the matt. There is a tiny chip measuring 1/8 inch by 1/32 inch missing off of the bottom left corner of the photo.
