Description: This is an ORIGINAL Volume IV of, The American Homoeopathic Review. This journal began its publication in October of 1858 and had six volumes in all. It was First issued as a protest to "mongrel" homoeopathy which was then starting to appear in The American Journal of Homoeopathy (citation for this information: "Homoeopathic Journals of the United States" by Jay Yasgur, Pharmacy in History, Vol. 40, No. 1 (1998), pp. 39-54 (16 pages)). The title page has a publication date of 1864; the spine specifies 1863-4. There are no original versions of any volumes in this series, only reprint editions. This 3/4 Leather Book is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. Very solidly bound, clear spine journal title, rubbing of the date below it. There is a crack between the front board and spine, but both boards remain solidly attached. and have light to moderate edge and corner wear. There is some very light page foxing but no moisture impacts, a light vertical crease seen in most of the pages, no tears or marks in 586 pages. There are no illustrations in the book. B136
