Description: It is an authentic engraved antique map approximately 158 years old, blank on reverse, with original handcoloring and a centerfold as issued. It is by Felix Ansart, from his Atlas Historique et Geographique Ancien Et Moderne, a copy of the title page is included. The map has a date of 1864 in the title area. The title of the atlas and F. Ansart appear in the upper margin. Overall a very well preserved rare map with nice strong color and an antique appearance that would frame up very well. Beautiful Color! This map looks much better than the pics. Size: The image/text area measures approximately 10 x 14 inches (26x35cm) on an 11 1/2 by 17 inch page (29x43cm) with a margin all around, as seen in the main pic. Condition: It is in Good to Very Good condition for its age with overall light tonal ageing on a buff color paper with original handcoloring and a centerfold as issued. There are a few very light smudges and browning around the margins, otherwise a very clean map with strong color and a antique appearance that many desire, see the pics for more on condition.
