Description: An 1863 hand signed “The County of Fluvanna” fractional currency issued in Palmyra, Virginia. It has the hand inscribed serial number “10618”. The notes were printed on the backs of larger un-issued Richmond bonds. These fractional notes were issued by most institutions due to the coin shortage in both the North and South. The note measures 1 7/8” x 4 3/8”. The note will be shipped in a protective sleeve with a dated, hand signed Letter of Authenticity with a photograph of the currency above. All of the artifacts on our site are guaranteed to be original Civil War issue or as stated. Please see our "About Collectors Frame”, below the reviews on the front page, for more information on the framing and artifacts.
