Description: Major general Israel Putnam, 1718 to 1790. Fought at the battle of Bunker Hill Was an officer with Rogers Rangers. Was from Danbury Massachusetts. The publishers of this engraving were Johnson and Fry and Company of New York. This is published in 1863. It is in very good condition for its age. It is printed on 8 x 11 paper some toning no dings. This was sold by subscription in the late 19th century on the left margin, small holes from the tie string that fastened it to the paper booklet part of the subscription. On heavy paper does have very small ding in lower margin. See photos.
