Waring, direx. The print will be accompanied by a separate full sheet of text related to the lithograph, under the title, DECORATION FOR A DRAWING-ROOM, by the late J. Thomas, Sculptor. This text gives a biography of the sculptor, whose ornate work is shown in the lithograph: The death of Mr. Thomas, almost in the prime of life, in the full vigour of his genius and in the height of a successful career, was one of the events which cast a gloom over the Exhibition of 1862, at least as regards thoseand they were manywho were acquainted with his kind, honest, generous nature, and had seen with pleasure his rapid success in art, achieved mainly by his own natural genius and perseverance. . . . he produced works which could only have been the result of great natural ability and remarkable industry. . . .
