Punch, or The London Charivari, was a British weekly magazine of humor and satire established in 1841 by Henry Mayhew and wood-engraver Ebenezer Landells. The magazine helped coin the term “cartoon” in its modern sense as a humorous illustration. From 1850, John Tenniel was the chief cartoon artist for over 50 years. Two compilation volumes of Punch Magazine during its prime. Hilarious articles, intricate illustrations, and commentary on the Civil War in America. FORN-MSB-0623-0706-HK150
