Description: 1860s-era BLACK MOURNING HAT on Wire Frame w/Sequins This antique hat is made from woven horse hair, and is trimmed with rows of black sequins and black fabric flowers on a wire frame. The inner lining is buckram, and the long ribbons are made of black velvet and are in good condition.. The crown is approximately 1-1/2" high and the brim is about 1-1/2" wide in front. There are no labels. Nice condition (see photos). Circumference around the inside where it fits the head is approximately 20-1/2". It is made to sit atop the head.
