Description: Here's a beautiful cobalt floral decorated ovoid stoneware crock jar from the mid 1800s....on the front of crock it has a pair of big cobalt flowers in a pot with two large leaves....no maker's mark that I can see.....thick heavy hand thrown stoneware with salt glaze finish...dark brown Albany slip interior with finger grooves from when it was made.....a pair of applied ear handles....round ovoid shape (smaller at base).....9 1/8"tall .....9 3/4"across the rim.....It has a chip on the front side of rim and one on back; no other damage. A lighter streak on one side where it appears to have had paint at one time. A great looking cobalt decorated jar that was made in the 1850-1860s era....FREE SHIPPING....
