Description: I have here for sale Divisions I-VII of A CYCLOPEDIA OF AGRICULTURE Practical and Scientific in which The Theory, the Art, and the Business of Farming in all their departments are thoroughly and practically treated by upwards of fifty of the most eminent Farmers, Land Agents, and Scientific Men of the Day, by John C Morton. This is the complete work of seven divisions. Division I starts with a Calendar of Farm Operations and then the rest of that volume and all the other 6 are laid out alphabetically, so Div I covers A-B, Div II covers B-C, Div III covers C-F, IV covers F-L etc. There are a total number of 30 double page plates across the 7 Divisions - 5 in Vol I, 4 in II, 5 in III, 4 in IV, V, VI and VII. There are also other in-text b/w illustrations and tables. Ex-library books so they have small library stamps to some pages and to the reverse of some plates. They have brown cloth spines with gilt lettering and the front covers are title pages and the rear covers show details of other publications by Blackie and Son on similar subjects. Covers are darkened in all cases and there is a library reference number at the base of the spines. Some light staining to some plates but generally the plates are in good condition as are the pages. Binding a little loose or pulling in some volumes. Condition: good. Pagination is continuous across the volumes but stops midway through Vol IV and start again from 1, so paginated as follows: Vol I 270 pages, Vol II 320 pages, Vol III 320 pages, Vol IV 112 + 208; Vol V 320, Vol VI 320 and Vol VII 324 pages. 25 x 17 cm.We have over 2000 items in our Ebay shop on a range of subjects, so please feel free to have a browse and see if anything else takes your fancy.Postage will be by Air Mail outside of UK.
