Description: Up for bid is Volume 1 & 2 (I’m assuming there were 3 but not sure.) of the works of Thomas Paine. These are dated 1854. Volume 2 appears to be in a bit better shape as far as brightness of the pages and coloring of the boards. Both volumes have spots as you can see in the pictures. They are worse on the first few pages (see pictures) and improve throughout the volume. To me, they are quite acceptable for a collection, but please use your own judgement. At 170 years old, I believe them to be in great shape but I am not a book historian. Thank you for looking.
