Description: Beautiful hand colored fraktur for the birth and baptism of Walter Samuel Weaver on 28 March 1853 and 1 April 1853, respectively. Allen Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. Solid wood frame, possibly lightly stained oak. There are some spots of discoloration. See photos. The colors are still bright and look like no or minimal fading. The frame - 17 7/8" x 14 7/8" - has scrapes, nothing that would require reframing. The backing has some tears and is detached at the top. For your reading pleasure, the previous owner attached an old newspaper clipping about the history of frakturs. Your signature may be required upon receipt.
