Description: This listing is for one (1) 1851 Braided Hair Large Cent Newcomb 5 Variety raw, ungraded, circulated coin in very fine 25 or 30. I'm no expert for sure and with the collar thing and the strike through it is hard to put a number on it. I do know copper doesn't look that way if it's not cleaned. I do not collect these but it caught my eye in the shop one day...yeah, yeah. I was surprised that it has an R- 3.6 and the variety bumps that number up there since they estimate only 7000 left. If these are your thing and you collect varieties, then you know that I priced it several grades back. Please note luster, shadows, and light reflection are not to be confused with color or toning on the coin. The coin in the pics is the coin you will receive.
