Description: The engraving offered here is from an 1845 German edition of William Henry Bartlett and H. Wallis's 1837 images of America. In this German edition, two engravings were included on a page. In this case, the top image is of Mount Vernon and the bottom image is of the Capitol building from the perspective of the White House. There is a date, 1845, in the lower right corner. The dimensions of the sheet with the two images are 10 1/8 by 8 inches. This print is from my personal collection which I am beginning to sell off. Unless noted otherwise in the description, the prints, art and other items that I sell are not "reproductions". For example, offered maps are of the period.
