Description: The mark dated 1840-1844, Emperor Ninkō Tenpo period. A little more than the middle above, you can see "Dwarf Country" on the right, "Korea" on the left end, and "Matsumae" on the right. A part of "Ezo (Ezo)" is displayed at the right end in the middle."Ryukyu" is drawn at the bottom left end, and "Onna Kokoku (Onna Gokoku)" is drawn on the right end. The back side (the inscription of "Tenpo year" on the hill) This square plate is often made in the Tenpo period of the Edo period and is said to be the so-called "Tenpo map plate" which was popular among the general public. Like this square plate, you can see quite a few things with the inscription "Made in the Tenpo Year" on the high sand.In addition to such square ones, there are also round shapes. The map drawn is not as accurate as it is now, but it is called "Gyoki-zu" which was commonly popular at that time, and in addition to real countries such as Ezo, Ryukyu, and Korea, there are "dwarf countries" and "female protection countries" where demon women live. "There are also non-existent legendary countries. It noticed that "Musashi Province" is displayed as "Musho Castle" and "Yamashiro Province" as "Heian Castle". Please see photos.
