No publication date but online research suggests 1840. Published by G L Hutchinson, London. There are 58 illustrations in b/w arranged over 44 plates including a small vignette to the title page - Great Wall of China, Greenwich Railway, "Times" Printing Machine, Eddystone Lighthouse, double plate showing Comparative Heights of Buildings. Full tree calf hardboards with gilt decorative border. Both boards are detached and there is no spine leather. Pages sunned with a few spots here and there. Binding block a little loose. Both free endpapers are missing. The rest of the endpaper is marbled. 280 pages, 22 x 13 cm. If you buy more than one item then the postage cost falls for the second and further items as I will put them into one parcel - so you save money.
