Description: Hello, up for sale is a very unique 1837 FLUECHWANGER COMPOSITION Token or Cent. This is a very interesting piece of history. Very few were ever struck. This coin/token was struck by Lewis Feuchtwanger and he suggested to Congress in 1837 for this coin to be used instead of copper coins. There were only a one-cent and three-cent trial pieces that were struck and circulated for 8 years. This coin is a true piece of early American History.
