This discipline was printed only 8 years before the great split of 1844 over the issue of slavery. There is a section in here about how the church looked at slavery. There is a section outlining the Annual Conferences , even the frontier areas of the time. The Indiana Conference included parts of Ohio and Michigan. This was the year that Texans revolted against Mexico and became an independent nation. There was only one clandestine Methodist church at McMahon’s Chapel back in the East Texas woods. As to dress: Give no tickets ( communion tickets) to any that wear high heads, enormous bonnets, ruffles, or rings.CONDITION: See listing description and photos. - International buyers are responsible to pay VAT or other Taxes to their countries as required.- eBAY collects and remits sales tax on behalf of several states.
