Description: Welcome to Heritage Coins & Collectables Offered today is this 1824 Coronet Head Large Cent~ PCGS AU50, MAJOR MINT ERROR SPLIT THROUGH PLANCHET The coin offered is this 1824 Coronet Cent just back from PCGS where it was graded problem free AU 50 BN. One thing did slip by the graders on this coin, the planchet has a through break or fracture. As can be seen in the PCGS images as well as ours the coin has what looks like a die break at about 7 O Clock on the obverse and it also looks like the reverse has a die break at 10 O Clock. Both breaks are directly over each other and are in fact a through fractured planchet on a Problem Free AU graded Large Cent! IMAGES: All images are of the actual coin or item listed.
