Amongst esteemed patrons -members have been Queens and Princes and Charles Darwin -the society was also famous for the first public description of the Theory of Evolution by Charles Darwin. The letter is also mentioning the Botanical Book that he is writing currently . Further to this is the amazing letter is reference to Dr Hosack . Dr Hosack amongst other things was a botanist himself in New York and created Hyde Park in New York and is famous for being the Surgeon of Alexander Hamilton and for being present at the famous Burr-Hamilton duel. He spent time with Smith when he travelled to Uk and was inspired by him . The letter has a small nick as shown in photos but otherwise in great condition.
